Outcropping is a great way to add a unique natural look to any landscape whether it be a commercial landscape or a small residential home. They are available in a variety of sizes ranging from 2-12" in thickness. The slabs can be used for steps, retaining walls, bridges over small ponds, natural benches, the possibilities are virtually endless. We have a great example in our area at the local boat ramp here in Stone City where we used the outcropping to create a rustic retaining wall that lines the Wapsipinicon River. Come check it out today!
Natural bed flagstone is one of our most popular materials. The irregular shaped pieces can be used to create patios, walkways, stepping stones, outline ponds, stacked to make a small wall or used as edging. The uses for flagstone is virtually endless! You can even use it in the interior of your home for a truly unique look. We have three different thicknesses available: 1", 2" & 3". They will all vary in thickness because they are a natural product. The 2" and 3" thickness is also available in pallet size which means that the pieces are bigger, typically the size of a 2' x 3' pallet.
Planter Stone is a great way to create raised garden beds along the front of your home and as a border around trees. Planter stone is available in the following thicknesses: 2-3", 3-4", 4-5", 5-6". All of these sizes have a 6" depth and are 18-36" long.
Enhance the beauty of your yard by using limestone to edge the borders. Limestone is a natural material that will endure throughout the years as an attractive border. Edging is available in two different sizes 4" X 4" and 4" X 4 1/2". They range from 18-36" in length and can be easily split to create curves around a path or garden.
Limestone steps are an attractive landscaping addition down to the lake, up to the front door or from one level to the next in the backyard. The steps are Natural Bed top and bottom with split-faced edges.
Available lengths are 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, 48” and 60”. The thickness of the steps is 6” and the depth is 14”. Custom sizes are available upon request. Another option for steps is outcropping, which is natural on all sides.

Your limestone projects are important to you, and you want them to remain as beautiful as the first day they were installed. The easiest way to clean limestone is to use a power washer and bleach and water and good old elbow grease. Test the bleach and water on a small area before you apply it to the whole area. Once you have it cleaned to your liking you can add a sealant that we sell.
We at Weber Stone Company have been using ChemStop® products for many years and recommend it for limestone care.
There is virtually no limit to what we can create for you with our stone. From benches to fireplaces to countertops, we can do it all. We have both Anamosa Limestone and Indiana Limestone available to meet your design needs.

Bedface Cut: Bedface (Natural Bed) is the cut parallel to the stratifications, or layers. Specialized interior stones are cut from the Fleuri bedface layer, which is the 'premium' layer of the Bedface cut. The finishes available for the Bedface cut are sawed, sandblasted, smooth, honed, polished, and polished/filled. Also, for a more natural look, Natural Bed or our standard flagstone is often used. Edge finishes are available including smooth, honed, polished, beveled, bullnosed, handfaced, splitfaced, and more.
Veine Cut: Veine is the cut perpendicular to the stratifications, or layers. This creates a wonderful visual effect of the various tones of the stone's veins. The finishes available for the Veine cut are sawed, sandblasted, smooth, honed, polished, and polished/filled. Our standard veneers are created from this cut with a spitfaced finish. Other edge finishes available include smooth, honed, polished, beveled, bullnosed, and more.
Natural Bed: Natural Bed is a natural, irregular finish that is created by the natural cleft between the layers in the stone (Bedface only).
Smooth: Stone is smoothed by machine or by hand, leaving a flat, finished surface (Bedface or Veine).
Sandblasted: Sand is air-blasted onto the stone's surface, creating a porous finish (Bedface or Veine).
Sawed: Stone is machine sawed which may leave slight saw marks. (Bedface or Veine).
Honed: This is one step beyond the smooth finish. A less abrasive material is used leaving a very smooth, non-shiny surface that is buffed (Bedface or Veine).
Polished: This is one step beyond the honed finish. A very non-abrasive material is used leaving a beautiful, smooth, and shiny surface (Bedface or Veine).
Splitfaced: Stone is split with a hydraulic cutter creating a rough perpendicular surface (Veine Only).
Handfaced: Stone is shaped by hand with a chisel creating a natural, slightly-convex surface (Veine Only).
